Joint pay assessment template (Article 10)
What to do when a category gap reaches 5%: the trigger, the seven parts of the assessment and what to write in each.
When you need one
Under Article 10(1), an employer that reports must carry out a joint pay assessment with workers' representatives when all three are true:
- The report shows a gap of at least 5% in average pay between women and men in any category of workers.
- The employer has not justified the gap by objective, gender-neutral criteria.
- The employer has not remedied the unjustified gap within six months of submitting the report.
